ELMC is an Eastman Leather Clothing brand. The collection takes inspiration from and centers around motorcycle-club culture of the mid-20th century on the west coast of the USA.

As many will know, Eastman Leather Clothing has, for the past 30 years, specialized in reproducing high-quality, authentic, WWII military-issue flight jackets that are primarily of American heritage. Eastman Leather has maintained a dedicated, obsessive approach in offering garments that are the penultimate in the marriage of quality with authenticity, producing recreations from a bygone time that capture the full essence of the vintage togs.

For many years, the directorship of Eastman Leather also has held an appreciation for garments and related articles from the civilian genre of heritage clothing, particularly those of the motorcycle club and road culture; it has always been Eastman Leather’s desire to offer a range of products representing this area of their affection, and so it is their absolute pleasure to be able to do this now through ELMC.

All of the materials and components in the ELMC collection are produced to the highest degree of quality and authenticity possible. The leather and sheepskin garments are, naturally, all made at their factory in Great Britain, and the hides are custom made exclusively for Eastman Leather - nothing is from off-the-shelf merchants. Eastman Leather works directly with the various tanneries, many of which are in Italy, and thus the hides have the quality and character exactly as they require. Eastman Leather makes prodigious use of horsehide; this leather is fully vegetable tanned, giving the finished products that true, high-end vintage character and appeal, the results of which are absolutely stunning - like taking a trip back in time. Other details within the production include: all-rayon satin linings, unbleached all-cotton drill for pocketing, handmade cats-eye Corozo buttons, 16-gauge 4-ply all-cotton thread, shuttle loom-woven labels, high-quality authentic metal zippers with all-cotton tape, and much more.

The textile products, such as tee-shirts and sweatshirts, are all made in Japan - that being the best place on earth to get true, vintage-quality products of this genre produced. These shirts are all made through the eminent John Lofgren workshops to precise detail that incorporates body-size tube construction and specialist-yarn cottons made on antiquated, vintage loop-wheel looms, etc.

Essentially, no expense has been spared in the sourcing of materials and quality of manufacturing, with nothing mass-produced or made in countries commonly known for high-volume: The goods are all made in the UK, Japan or the US, and even then, only from high-quality low-volume producers.
