Inflation Fighting November 11, 2022: The current economy, with inflation spiking across all sectors and goods, and especially in transportation, has pushed the cost of shipping, especially international shipping from Japan to the USA, to highs we have never before experienced, but economic forces have also reduced the values of many top foreign currencies, such as the Japanese yen, which we must buy to purchase many of our best products, thus creating an unusual situation, whereby we are paying significantly less for the actual imported goods, but massively more for the transportation to deliver these here in the USA. Unfortunately, the overwhelming inflation across all sectors still has created an environment that leaves many on the sidelines who would otherwise be customers in better times, thus we have endeavored to help where we can and have elected to absorb most of the transportation increases to deliver the goods to our USA office, thus most of our Japanese-made goods have actually gone down in price from 2021, and none have increased in price, which should be the case to cover increases in shipping that are more than double from normal times; more than doubling the cost of shipping can add over $100.00 to the retail price of select items. We hope this gesture on our behalf helps take some of the sting out of prevailing market conditions.

 

Thanks to the smash FX series, The Bear, and the attendant overwhelming demand for a second year in a row, we sold out of our Whitesville vintage-style tee shirts in the summer, but we have again been fully stocked, just in time for Christmas gifting!

 

The annual event is underway.  We are receiving fresh stock of Buzz Rickson jackets, caps, shirts, sweatshirts, and sweaters on into December.  We always suggest ordering early or contacting us for advance notice so as to get a jump on the crowds because most Buzz Rickson products are made just once a year, and when we sell out, that's it until the following fall.

 

After an absence of 3 long years, we are extremely pleased to announce the return of this fabulous sweater from Buzz Rickson's brand, which was a total sellout the last time we had these. This new production includes an expanded size range that will allow for fitting chest measures of no less than 46", and 48" for some individuals. This is a masterpiece rendering of what we deem the most functional, indispensable piece of clothing for cool-weather wear under a jacket. We sold out in just months the last time we had these, so don't sleep on these - you will never regret owning this garment!
