We are devoted historians, dedicated
to marketing a variety of historically related products and services that
represent the epitome in their class worldwide. Our esteemed management team
comprises university-trained professional historians with no less than twenty
years of hands-on experience in their respective fields of expertise. This
unique composition allows for superior breadth of subject matter, while any
given singular area of study is assured the greatest depth of intensive and
exhaustive research under the most demanding rigors of scholarship set forth
and upheld by the company's founder. Whether selecting from our consulting
services, vintage antiques or reproduction historical clothing and goods,
the choice should come after comparison with other companies, as the integrity
of our word becomes all the more marked when held in contrast. We are our
own most harsh critic in all areas of performance, and pledge to our clientele
that everything our name is associated with must conform to historical truths;
few but the most thorough and resolute can hope to achieve and maintain such
assuredness in commitment.
Our
Perspective and Mission:
The first half of the twentieth century is one of the greatest and most significant
epochs in history. No other span of time witnessed as much growth and change
in every facet of existence as did these fifty years. Here is found the sum
of all human endeavor and suffering from the beginning, culminating in a maelstrom
of tremendous good and evil, all of it concentrated within the span of five
decades - a mere speck on the time line of the universe. In 1900, the horse
was still the primary mode of transportation and aerial flight but a dream,
and yet in less than forty-five years, automobile travel was the new standard
for most of the world, while jet-propelled flight and computer technology
were suddenly reality. The two most bloody and horrid wars in history arose
in the first half of this century, leaving us with the ability to obliterate
life on earth in less time than it took to create it - a legacy that would
permanently shape the future.
War is filled with paradox, perhaps
the most striking example of which is man's ability to be at both his best
and worst while performing the most savage of acts. Love and hate, the two
most powerful and intriguing human emotions, are deeply entrenched in all
war. Within the totality of large-scale combat of the most desperate form,
we find more pronounced challenges to self-preservation than in any other
undertaking. Survival is everything, and it requires quick and constant evolution
and expansion in strategy, weaponry, medicine, and all other tools of warfare
to outpace the enemy. Ironically, war then becomes the catalyst that is most
responsible for more rapid growth and development on every level of existence
than that which would naturally occur in times of peace. Drama, in its most
compelling form, combines the very same elements of irony, human challenge
and conflict, and love and hate that are found in war. Due to the sheer vastness
of geography and magnitude of human involvement, these key dramatic components
are present in WWII at levels never witnessed before nor likely to be seen
again. Out of the unprecedented carnage that was WWII, more progress and achievement
took place in science, technology, production methodology, medicine, and a
myriad of human conveniences, than at any other moment in history. This war
was the defining moment for America in the 20th century, and a watershed for
pivotal world events and change. Therefore, this brief period known as the
Second World War contains an unsurpassed library of human saga and drama,
making what should rightly be the most identifiable and unforgettable moment
in world history a virtually inexhaustible subject to any historian, writer,
poet, artist, filmmaker or student.
Our liberal use of images of WWII,
particularly those of aviation, the most romanticized of man's endeavors,
stand as recognizable marks of this company for good reason. We perceive a
gradual decline in the second half of the 20th century of all we treasure
from that societal high-water mark America reached at mid-century; there is
a fortitude, a sense of honor, and an innocence that seems forever lost after
crossing this juncture. The goods and services we market are intended to embody
and pay homage to these lost qualities of that era, consequently powerful
and instantly identifiable images of WWII are synonymous with our focus. Glorification
of war is not our intent; whatever glory there is goes to man's ability to
survive and nobly overcome the worst, thus it is this that we choose to honor.
It is with great respect and homage to the combat veterans of all wars throughout
history, that we remain dedicated to the ongoing development and expansion
of our unparalleled products and consulting services. Catch a last glimpse
of the 20th century; stop by our site often, since you won't want to miss
out on the many planned undertakings preserving history as it really was.
