The chronograph watch is an essential

time-related calculations. Pilots, naval shipboard and artillery officers,
as well as doctors and related medical personnel, all rely on this timepiece
for a host of diverse, time keeping requirements. Hanhart was one of the
leading German producers of chronographs in the ‘30’s and
‘40’s, and though they produced now-famous and highly-sought
examples for issue to the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, other styles of
chronographs were produced for commercial consumption, these usually being
more stylized and elegant. The Minos was derived from Hanhart’s
famous caliber 44 automatic 30-jewel movement, and designed for those
who craved elegant simplicity in a watch of superior durability and precision.
Produced in the stabilizing years of the mid-1950’s, Hanhart once
again utilized proven movements and designs found on production watches
from the 1940’s. This watch is not only unique in design and history
from fifty years ago, but with thirty jewels keeping the automatic movement
flowing, it’s one that will keep you on time well into the 22nd
century! Minos provides at-a-glance dial recognition without clutter,
a date window, and all the elegance and style found in its 1940’s
roots, including the serrated bezel made famous on the Luftwaffe Fliegerchronograph.
A sapphire crystal see-thru case back is standard, while the choice of
dial colors and watch strap options allows for employment in various applications
(the black dials have traditionally been favored by those with daylight
activity in mind, while silver finishes tend to be favored for nocturnal
applications). Add a stainless steel strap and you’ve entered an
entirely new world. Minos is the bargain amongst professional-class watches
today. Fine, traditional German engineering in a hand-made watch, built
